２１章
1. これらのことの後、ティベリアの海で、イエスはご自分を再び弟子たちにお現わしになった。さて、彼はこのようにご自分を現わされた。
2. シモン・ペテロ、トゥインといわれるトーマス、ガリラヤのカナのナサナエル、ゼベディの息子たち、また、彼の弟子たちのうちのもう二人が一緒にいた。
3. シモン・ペテロが彼らに言った。「私は漁に行くよ。」彼らは彼に言った。「私たちも君と一緒に行こう。」彼らはすぐに舟に乗り込んで出て行った。そしてその夜、彼らは何も獲れなかった。
4. しかし、朝が来ると、イエスが浜辺にお立ちになっていた。弟子たちはまだそれがイエスだと知らなかった。
5. その時、イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「子供たちよ、何か食べ物があるか？」彼らは彼に答えた。「いえ。」
6. そして、彼は彼らに仰せになった。「網を舟の右側に投げてごらん。そしたら、おまえたちは何か見つけるから。」そこで彼らが投げた。すると、彼らはそれを引き上げる事ができなかった。魚の大群のためであった。
7. そこで、イエスが愛されていた弟子がペテロに言った。「主だ！」さて、シモン・ペテロは、主だ、というのを聞いて、彼は外着を着て（彼はそれを脱いでいた）そして海に飛び込んだ。
8. しかし、他の弟子たちは小舟にいて（なぜなら、彼らは陸からそれほど離れていない、およそ二百キュービットの所にいた）網を魚と一緒に引いて行った。
9. さて、彼らが陸に着くとすぐに、彼らはそこに炭火で火が起されているのを見た。そして魚がそれにかけられ、また、パンもあった。
10. イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「おまえたちが今獲った魚の幾つかを持ってきなさい」
11. シモン・ペテロは上がってきて、そして網を陸に引き上げた。１５３匹の大きな魚で一杯になっており、そんなにたくさんいたが、網は裂けないでいた。
12. イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「来て、朝食をとりなさい。」もはや、弟子たちの誰も、あえて彼に「あなたは誰ですか？」と問う者はいなかった。それがイエスであることを知っていたからである。
13. そこで、イエスは来てパンを取って彼らにそれを与え、また魚も同様にされた。
14. これは、イエスが死から復活した後で、ご自分を彼の弟子たちにお現わしになった三回目のことである。
15. 彼らが朝食を食べると、イエスはシモン・ペテロに仰せになった。「シモン、ヨナの息子よ、おまえはこれらの者たちよりも、私を愛しているか[1]？」彼は彼に答えた。「そうです、主よ、あなたは私があなたをお慕い[2]していることをご存知です。」彼は彼に仰せになった。「私の子羊たちを養いなさい。」
16. 彼はまた２度目に彼に仰せになった。「シモン、ヨナの息子よ。おまえはわたしを愛しているか？」彼は彼に答えた。「はい。主よ。あなたはわたしがあなたをお慕いしていることをご存知です。」彼は彼に仰せになった。私の羊の世話をしなさい。」
17. 彼は彼に三回目に仰せになった。「シモン、ヨナの息子よ、おまえは私を慕っているか？」ペテロは悲しんだ。彼が彼に三回目に、「おまえは私を慕っているか？」とお尋ねになったからである。そして彼は彼に言った。「主よ、あなたはすべてのことをご存知です。あなたは私があなたをお慕い[3]していることをご存知です。」イエスは彼に仰せになった。「私の羊を養いなさい。」
18. 「アーメン、アーメン、私はおまえに言う。おまえが若かった時には、おまえは自分で帯をして、おまえが好きな所を歩いていた。しかし、年をとると、おまえは両手を伸ばし、そして他の人がおまえの帯を締めて、おまえが行きたくない所に連れて行く。」
19. この事を彼が仰せになったのは、彼がどのような死に方で天の神の栄光をお返しするようになるかをお示しになったのである。彼は彼に仰せになった。「私についてきなさい。」
20. その時、ペテロは周囲を振り返って、イエスに愛された弟子がついて来るのを見た。その人はまた晩餐の時に、彼の胸によりかかり、そして、「主よ、あなたを裏切るのは誰ですか？」と言った人である。
21. ペテロは彼を見て、イエスに言った。「でも、主よ、この男はどうなんですか？」
23. その時、この弟子は死なないだろうという話が、兄弟たちの間に広がっていった。しかし、イエスは彼が死なないということを仰せになったのではない。「もし、私が来るまで彼が残っていることを望んでいるとしても、おまえに何だというのか？」と仰せになったのである。
24. これらの事を証し、そして書いたのは、この弟子である。そして、私たちは彼の証しが真実である事を知っている。
25. そして、他にも多くのイエスのなさったことがある。もし、それらを一つ一つ書いていくならば、この世界には、その本を納めきれないと、私は思う。アーメン。
Joh 21:1 After these things Jesus revealed Himself
again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. And He revealed Himself
this way:

21:2 Simon Peter, and Thomas called the
Twin, and Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and
two others of His disciples were together.
Joh
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, I am
going out to fish. They said to him, We will go with you also. They went out
and entered into a boat immediately. And that night they caught nothing.
Joh
21:4 But when the morning had come,
Jesus stood on the shore. But the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
Joh
21:5 Then Jesus said to them, Children,
do you have anything to eat? They answered Him, No.
Joh
21:6 And He said to them, Cast the net
on the right side of the boat and you will find. Therefore they cast, and now
they no longer had the strength to draw, from the multitude of fish.
Joh
21:7 Then that disciple whom Jesus loves
said to Peter, It is the Lord! Then hearing that it is the Lord, Simon Peter
girded on his coat (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea.

21:8 And the other disciples came in a
little boat (for they were not far from land, only about two hundred cubits),
dragging the net of fish.
Joh
21:9 Then when they went up on the land,
they saw a fire of coals there, and a fish lying on it, and bread.
Joh
21:10 And Jesus said to them, Bring from
the fish which you have now caught.
Joh
21:11 Simon Peter went up and drew the
net to land, full of big fish, a hundred and fifty-three. And though
there were so many, the net was not torn.
Joh
21:12 Jesus said to them, Come, break
fast. And none of the disciples dared to ask Him, Who are You? knowing that it
was the Lord.

21:13 Then Jesus came and took the bread
and gave to them, and in the same way the little fish.
Joh
21:14 This is now the three times
Jesus was revealed to His disciples, He being risen from the
dead.
Joh
21:15 Then when they broke fast, Jesus
said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than
these? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him,
Feed My lambs.
Joh
21:16 He said to him the second time,
Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know
that I love You. He said to him, Feed My sheep.
Joh
21:17 He said to him the third time,
Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me? Peter was grieved because He said
to him a third time, Do you love Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You know
all things, You know that I love You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

21:18 Truly, truly, I say to you, When
you were young, you girded yourself and walked where you wished. But when you
grow old, you shall stretch forth your hands and another shall gird you and
carry you where you do not wish.
Joh
21:19 He spoke this signifying by what
death he should glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him,
Follow Me.
Joh
21:20 Then Peter, turning around, saw
the disciple whom Jesus loved following (the one who also leaned on His breast
at supper, and said, Lord, who is he who betrays You?)
Joh
21:21 Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus,
Lord, and what of this one?
Joh
21:22 Jesus said to him, If I desire
that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.
Joh
21:23 Then this saying went abroad among
the brothers, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him,
He shall not die, but, If I desire that he remain until I come, what is that
to you?
Joh
21:24 This is the disciple who testifies
of these things and wrote these things. And we know that his testimony is true.
Joh
21:25 And there are also many things,
whatever Jesus did, which, if they should be written singly, I suppose the
world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
