ヨハネによる福音書第20章（欽定訳）

２０章

1.　ところで、その週の最初の日にマグダレーネのマリヤは墓に、朝早く、まだ暗い間に行った。そして墓から石が取り除かれているのを見た。

2.　その時、彼女は走ってシモン・ペテロと、もう一人の、イエスが愛しておられた弟子の所に行った。そして彼らに言った。「誰かが（彼らが）主を墓から持ち去ってしまいました。そのうえ、私たちには彼らが主（彼）をどこに置いたのか分かりません。」

3.　そこで、ペテロともう一人の弟子は出て行って、墓に行こうとした。

4.　〔そこで〕彼らは二人とも一緒に走っていき、もう一人の弟子の方がペテロを追い越した。そして墓にまず入った。

5.　そして彼はかがんで中をのぞき、麻の布がそこに置かれているのを見た。彼はまだ中に入っては行かなかった。

6.　その時、シモン・ペテロが彼に続いて来て、墓の中に入って行った。そして彼はそれらの麻の布がそこに置かれているのを見た。

7.　また、彼の頭に蒔かれていた頭巾は、それらの麻の布とは別の所に置かれ、それぞれが一箇所にたたまれていた。

8.　その時、墓に一緒に来た、もう一人の弟子も入ってきた。そして彼は見て、信じた。

9.　彼らは、彼が死から必ずよみがえるという御言葉を、まだ知らなかったのである。

10.　それから、その弟子たちは再び自分たちの所に帰った。

11.　そしてマリアは墓の外に立って泣いていた。そして、彼女は泣きながらひざをかがめ、また墓をのぞきこんだ。

12.　すると彼女は二人の白い（衣を着た）天使たちが座っているのを見た。イエスの体が置かれていた場所の、一人は頭の所に、もう一人は足の所に座っていた。

13.　その時、彼らは彼女に言った。「女の人、どうしてあなたは泣いているのですか？」彼女は彼らに言った。「誰かが（彼らが）私の主を取ってしまったからです。そして、私には彼らが彼をどこに置いているのかが分かりません。」

14.　ところで、彼女がこう言い、そして、振り返って後ろを見ると、イエスがそこにお立ちになっていた。しかし、彼女はそれがイエスだとわからなかった。

15.　イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「女の人、どうしてあなたは泣いているのか？誰をあなたは捜しているのか？」彼女は彼が園丁だと思い、彼に言った。「ご主人、もしあなたが彼を持ち去られたなら、どこに彼を置いたのか、教えてください。そうすれば、私が彼を引き取りますから。」

16.　イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「マリヤ！」彼女は振り返り、そして彼に言った。「ラボニ！（つまり、先生）」

17.　イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「私にしがみついてはいけない。私はまだ私の父の所に上っていっていないからだ。しかし、私の兄弟達の所に行き、そして彼らに言いなさい。『私は私の父、また、おまえたちの父、私の天の神、またおまえたちの天の神の所に上って行く。』と」

18.　マグダレーネのマリアは来て、弟子たちに、彼女が主とお会いしていた事、そして彼がこれらの事を彼女に仰せになったことを話した。

19.　ところで、同じ日の夕方、週の最初の日に、弟子たちが集まっている所の戸は、ユダヤ人たちへの恐れでみな閉められていたが、イエスが来られ、そしてまん中にお立ちになった。そして彼らに仰せになった。「平和よ、おまえたちに！」

20.　彼はこう言ってから、彼らに彼の両手と（彼の）脇とをお見せになった。その時、その弟子たちは主とお会いしたので、喜んだ。

21.　そこで、イエスは彼らにもう一度仰せになった。「平安よ、おまえたちに！父が私を遣わされたように、私もまたおまえたちを遣わしているのだ。」

22.　そして、彼がこの事を彼らに仰せになると、彼は彼らに息を吹きかけた。そして、彼らに仰せになった。「聖霊を受けていなさい。

23.　もし、おまえたちが、どんなものであっても、罪を赦しているならば、それらは赦されている。もし、おまえたちがどんな罪でも、それをそのままにするなら、それは留まっている。」

24.　さて、十二人の一人で、トゥインと呼ばれるトーマスは、イエスがお出でになった時、彼らと一緒にいなかった。

25.　それで、他の弟子たちは彼に言った。「私たちは主にお会いした。」そこで、彼は彼らに言った。「私は彼の両手にくぎの跡を見、また私の指をくぎの穴に入れてみ、また私の手を彼の脇に入れてみなければ、私は信じない。」

26.　そして、その八日後、彼の弟子たちが再び内にいた。そしてトーマスも彼らと一緒にいた。ドアは閉まっていたが、イエスが来てまん中にお立ちになった。そして仰せになった。「平安よ、おまえたちに！」

27.　その時、彼はトーマスに言った。「おまえの指をここに伸ばし、そして、私の両手を見なさい。また、おまえの手をここに伸ばし、そして、私の脇に差し入れなさい。信じない者にならないで、信じる者になりなさい。」

28.　するとトーマスは答え、そして彼に言った。「我が主、我が神！」

29.　イエスは、彼に仰せになった。「トーマス、おまえは私を見たので、おまえは信じたのか。幸いなことだ、見なかったがそれでも信じた人は。」

30.　そして、この書に書いていないが、イエスは他にも実に多くの徴を彼の弟子たちのいる所でなさった。

31.　しかし、これらの事が書かれたのは、あなたがたがイエスはキリストであり、天の神の御子であることを信じるため、そして信仰によってあなたがたが彼の御名によって命を得るためである。

Joh 20:1  The first of the sabbaths Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, darkness still being on it, and she saw the stone taken away from the tomb.

Joh 20:2  Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.

Joh 20:3  Therefore Peter and that other disciple went forth and came to the tomb.

Joh 20:4  So they both ran together. And the other disciple outran Peter and came first to the tomb.

Joh 20:5  And stooping down he saw the linens lying, yet he did not go in.

Joh 20:6  Then Simon Peter came following him and went into the tomb. And he saw the linens lying there.

Joh 20:7  And the grave-cloth that was on His head was not lying with the linens, but was wrapped up in one place by itself.

Joh 20:8  Therefore, then, that other disciple also went in, the one who came first to the tomb. And he saw and believed.

Joh 20:9  For as yet they did not know the Scripture that He must rise again from the dead.

Joh 20:10  Then the disciples went away again to themselves.

Joh 20:11  But Mary stood outside of the tomb, weeping. And as she wept, she stooped down into the tomb.

Joh 20:12  And she saw two angels in white sitting there, the one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

Joh 20:13  And they said to her, Woman, why do you weep? She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.

Joh 20:14  And when she had said this, she turned backward and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

Joh 20:15  Jesus said to her, Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, Sir, if you have carried Him away from here, tell me where you have laid Him and I will take Him away.

Joh 20:16  Jesus said to her, Mary! She turned herself and said to Him, Rabboni! (which is to say, Master!)

Joh 20:17  Jesus said to her, Do not touch Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and say to them, I ascend to My Father and Your Father, and to My God and your God.

Joh 20:18  Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had spoken these things to her.

Joh 20:19  Then the same day at evening, being the first of the sabbaths, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace to you!

Joh 20:20  And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

Joh 20:21  Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you. As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you.

Joh 20:22  And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

Joh 20:23  Of whomever sins you remit, they are remitted to them. Of whomever sins you retain, they are retained.

Joh 20:24  But Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.

Joh 20:25  The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I shall see the print of the nails in His hands, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.

Joh 20:26  And after eight days the disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace to you!

Joh 20:27  Then He said to Thomas, Reach your finger here and behold My hands; and reach your hand here and thrust it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.

Joh 20:28  And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!

Joh 20:29  Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.

Joh 20:30  And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book.

Joh 20:31  But these are written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life in His name.
