７章
1. これらのことの後、イエスはガリラヤに歩いて行かれた。ユダヤ人たちが彼を殺そうとしていたので、彼はユダヤを歩くことを望まれなかったからである。
2. ところで、ユダヤ人たちの幕屋の祭りが間近になっていた。
3. 彼の兄弟たちは、それで彼に言った。「ここを発ち、そしてユダヤにお行きなさい。あなたのお弟子たちもあなたがしているわざを見ることができるように。
4. 自分を公に知られるように願っている人は、何もひそかにすることはしませんよ。もし、あなたがこれらの事をするなら、あなた自身をこの世界に明らかにしなさい。」
5. それは、彼の兄弟たちでさえ彼を信じていなかったからである。
6. その時、イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「私の時はまだ来ていない。しかし、あなたがたの時はいつも準備ができている。
7. この世界はあなたがたを憎むことはできない。しかしそれは私を憎んでいる。なぜなら私はそのわざが邪悪である事を証しているからだ。
8. あなたたちは祭りに上っていきなさい。私はまだこの祭りには上って行かない。私の時はまだ満ちていないからだ。」
9. 彼がこれらの事を彼らに仰せになったとき、彼はガリラヤに留まっておられた。
10. しかし、彼の兄弟たちが上って行った時、その時、彼もまた祭りに上って行かれた。公にではなく、いつものように密かにであったが。
11. その時、ユダヤ人たちは祭りの中で彼を捜し求めていた。そして言った。「彼はどこにいる？」
12. そして、群衆の中では彼について多くのことが言われていた。ある人は言った。「彼は善人だ。」他の人たちは言った。「いや。その反対だ。彼は群衆を欺いている。」
13. しかしユダヤ人たちを恐れていたので、誰も彼について公に語ろうとしなかった。
14. ところで祭りのまん中頃、イエスは神殿に入り、そしてお教えになった。
15. するとユダヤ人たちは驚いて言った。「どうしてこの男はこれらの学問を知っているのか。学んだことなどないのに？」
16. イエスは彼らに答え、そして仰せになった。「私の教えは私のものではない。私を遣わされた方のものだ。
17. もし、誰かが彼の御心を行いたいなら、彼はこの教えについて、それが天の神からのものか、または、私が自分自身の権威によって語っているのかを知る。
18. 彼自身から語っている者は、彼自身の栄光を求めている。しかし、彼を遣わした方の栄光を求めている人は真実なのだ。
19. モーセはあなたがたに法を授けなかったか？それなのに、あなたがたは誰もその法を守っていない。どうしてあなたがたは私を殺そうとしているのか？」
20. 群衆は答えそして言った。「あなたにはダイモニオン（ダイモニオン）がいる。誰があなたを殺そうとしているのか？」
21. イエスは彼らに答え、そして仰せになった。「私は一つのわざをした。そしてあなたがたは皆驚いた。
22. モーセはあなたがたに割礼を施した。（それはモーセからではなく、父祖からのものであった）そしてあなたがたは、安息日にも一人の人に割礼をしている。
23. 安息日に一人の男性が割礼を受けているのがモーセの法は破られるべきではないという理由であるならば、どうしてあなたがたは、安息日に一人の男性を完全によくしてあげたからと怒るのか？
24. 見える所によって裁いていていないで、正しい判断で裁きをしなさい。」
25. ところで、エルサレムから来ていた、彼らのうちのある人々が言った。「これは、あの人たち（彼ら）が殺そうとして捜していた人ではないのか？
26. しかし、見ろ！彼は大胆に語っている。そして彼らは彼に何も言っていない。司たちは、本当はこの人こそ真にキリストである事を知っているのか？
27. しかしながら、私たちは彼がどこから来たのか知っている。しかし、キリストがいつ来られるのか、彼はどこの出身なのか誰も知らない。」
28. その時、イエスは大声で叫んで、彼が神殿でお教えになっていたように仰せになった。「あなたがたは私を知っており、また、あなたがたは私がどこの出身なのかも知っている。そして、私は自分自身で来たのではない。しかし、私を遣わされたお方は真実であって、あなたがたが知らないお方だ。
29. しかし私はその方（彼）を知っている。なぜなら、私はその方（彼）のところから来たのだ。そして、その方が私を遣わされたのだ。」
30. それゆえ、彼らは彼を捕らえようと願った。しかし、誰も彼に手をかける者はいなかった。なぜなら、彼の時がまだ来ていなかったからである。
31. そして多くの人々が彼を信じ、そして言った。「キリスト様がお出でになったら、彼はこの人（男性）がなさったこれらのことよりも多くの徴をなさるだろうか」
32. ファリサイ派の人々は、群衆が彼についてこれらの事をささやいているのを聞いた。そして、ファリサイ派の人々と祭司の長たちは、彼を捕らえるために役人達を送った。
33. その時イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「私はあなたがたともう少し一緒にいる。そして、それから私は私を遣わされた方の所に行く。
34. あなたがたは私を捜し求めるが、（私を）見つけることはない。そして、私がいる所にはあなたがたは来る事ができない。」
35. その時、ユダヤ人たちは互いに言った。「我々が知らないという、彼はどこに行こうとしているのだ？彼は、諸国民たちの間に離散している人々の所に行き、そして諸国民たちを教えようというのか？
36. 彼が言っている、『あなたがたは私を捜す。そして（私を）見つけることはない。そして、私がいる所に来る事はできない』といっているのは何の事なのか？」
37. 祭りの大いなる日の最後の日に、イエスは立って大声で叫んで、こう仰せになった。「もし、誰でも乾いているなら、彼は私の所に来て飲みなさい。
38. 私を信じる人は、聖書が言っていたように、彼の心から生ける水の川が溢れ出すようになる。」
39. しかし、このことを彼は、彼を信じる人々が受けるべき霊について仰せになったのである。なぜなら、聖霊はまだ与えられていなかった。イエスはまだ栄光をお受けになっていなかったからである。
40. それゆえ、彼らがこれらの仰せを事を聞いた時、多くの人々が言った。「真実にこの方は預言者だ。」
41. 他の人々は言った。「この人がキリストだ。」しかし、他の人は言った。「キリストはガリラヤ出身なのか？
42. 聖書によれは、キリストはあのダビデの子孫として現れ、ダビデがいたあのベスレヘムの町からお出でになるのではないのか？」
43. そこで、彼についてその人々の間に分裂があった。
44. ところで、彼らの中の何人かは彼を捕らえたいと思った。しかし誰も彼に手をかけなかった。
45. その時、役人達が、祭司の長たちやファリサイ派の人々の所に来た。その人たちは彼らに言った。「どうしておまえたちは彼を連れてこなかったのか？」
46. 役人達は答えた。「誰もこの人のように語った人は今までいませんでした。」
47. その時、そのファリサイ派の人々は彼らに答えた。「お前たちまでも騙されたのか？
48. ファリサイ派の指導者たちの、何人が彼を信じたと言うのか？
49. しかし、法を知らないこの群衆は呪われるべきだ。」
50. ニコデムス（彼らの一人で、（彼は）夜、イエスの所に来た人である。）は彼らに言った。
51. 「私たちの法では、その人が何をしたのかを彼から聞いて知った上でその人を裁くのではないか？」
52. 彼らは答え、そして彼に言った。「君までガリラヤ出身なのか？調べて見よ。ガリラヤからは預言者は誰も起されていないから。」
53. そして、皆は自分の家に帰って行った。
Joh 7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee,
for He did not desire to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.
Joh
7:2 And the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles
was near.
Joh
7:3 Therefore His brothers said to Him,
Move away from here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see the
works that You do.
Joh
7:4 For no one does anything in secret,
while he himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself
to the world.
Joh
7:5 For His brothers did not believe in
Him.
Joh
7:6 Then Jesus said to them, My time has
not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Joh
7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it
hates Me because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
Joh
7:8 You go up to this feast; I am not
yet going up to this feast; for My time is not yet fulfilled.
Joh
7:9 And having said these things to
them, He remained in Galilee.
Joh
7:10 But when His brothers had gone up,
then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.
Joh
7:11 Then the Jews sought Him at the
feast and said, Where is He?
Joh
7:12 And there was much murmuring among
the crowd concerning Him, for some said, He is a good man; others said, No, but
he deceives the crowd.
Joh
7:13 However, no one spoke openly of
Him, because of the fear of the Jews.
Joh
7:14 Now about the middle of the feast,
Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
Joh
7:15 And the Jews marveled, saying, How
does this man know letters, not being taught?
Joh
7:16 Jesus answered them and said, My
doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
Joh
7:17 If anyone desires to do His will,
he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or I speak from Myself.
Joh
7:18 He who speaks of himself seeks his
own glory, but he who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him is true, and no
unrighteousness is in Him.
Joh
7:19 Did not Moses give you the Law? And
yet not one of you keeps the Law! Why do you seek to kill Me?
Joh
7:20 The crowd answered and said, You
have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?
Joh
7:21 Jesus answered and said to them, I
have done one work, and you all marvel.
Joh
7:22 Because of this Moses gave you
circumcision (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers,) and you
circumcise a man on the sabbath day.
Joh
7:23 If a man receives circumcision on
the sabbath day so that the Law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry at
Me because I have made a man entirely sound on the sabbath day?
Joh
7:24 Do not judge according to sight,
but judge righteous judgment.
Joh
7:25 Then some of those from Jerusalem
said, Is this not the one they seek to kill?
Joh
7:26 But lo, he speaks publicly, and
they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly know that this is the Christ
indeed?
Joh
7:27 However, we know this one, from
where he is; but when Christ comes, no one knows from where He is.
Joh
7:28 Then Jesus cried in the temple as
He taught, saying, You both know Me, and you know from where I come. And I have
not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.
Joh
7:29 But I know Him, for I am from Him,
and He has sent Me.
Joh
7:30 Then they sought to seize Him, but
no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
Joh
7:31 And many of the crowd believed on
Him, and said, When the Christ comes, will He do more miracles than these which
this One has done?
Joh
7:32 The Pharisees heard that the crowd
murmured such things concerning Him. And the Pharisees and the chief priests
sent officers to seize Him.
Joh
7:33 Then Jesus said to them, Yet a
little while I am with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.
Joh
7:34 You shall seek Me and shall not
find Me. And where I am, you cannot come.
Joh
7:35 Then the Jews said among
themselves, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to
go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
Joh
7:36 What saying is this that He said, You
shall seek Me and shall not find Me, and where I am, you cannot come?
Joh
7:37 And in the last day of the great
feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me
and drink.
Joh
7:38 He who believes on Me, as the
Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living
water."
Joh
7:39 (But He spoke this about the
Spirit, which they who believed on Him should receive; for the Holy
Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Joh
7:40 Then when they heard the Word, many
of the people said, Truly this is the Prophet.
Joh
7:41 Others said, This is the Christ.
But others said, Does the Christ come out of Galilee?
Joh
7:42 Has the Scripture not said that
Christ comes from the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem, where
David was?
Joh
7:43 So a division occurred in the crowd
because of Him.
Joh
7:44 And some of them desired to seize
Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
Joh
7:45 Then the officers came to the chief
priests and Pharisees. And they said to them, Why have you not brought him?
Joh
7:46 The officers answered, Never did
any man speak as does this Man.
Joh
7:47 Then the Pharisees answered them,
Also, have you not been deceived?
Joh
7:48 Is it not true that not any
of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him?
Joh
7:49 But this crowd, not knowing the
Law, is cursed.
Joh
7:50 Nicodemus said to them, (he who
came to Jesus by night, being one of them),
Joh
7:51 Does our law judge the Man before
it hears Him and knows what He does?
Joh
7:52 They answered and said to him, Are
you also from Galilee? Search the scriptures and see that a prophet has not
been raised out of Galilee.
Joh
7:53 And they each went to his own
house.
