１４章
2. 私の父の家には、住まいがたくさんある。もし、そうではないなら、私は汝は汝らに言っておいた。私は汝らのために、場所を準備しに行くのだ。
3. そして、私が行って、汝らのための場所の準備ができたら、私はまた来よう。そして汝らを私自身の所に迎えよう。それは、私がいるところに、汝らもいるようになるためである。
4. また、私が行く所を汝らは知っている。またその道も、汝らは知っている。」
5. トーマスは彼に言った。「主よ、私たちはあなたがどこにお出でになるのか知りません。また、わたしたちはどうやってその道を知ることができるのですか？」
6. イエスは彼に仰せになった。「私が道であり、真理であり、そして命なのだ。誰も私を通らないで父のもとに来ることはない。
7. もし、汝らが私を知っていたなら、汝らは私の父も知っていたのだ。そして、今からは、汝ら は彼を知っており、また彼を見ている。」
8. ピリポは彼に言った。「主よ、私たちに父をお示しください。そうすれば、私たちは満ち足ります。」
9. イエスは彼に仰せになった。「私が汝らとこんなにも長い間一緒にいて、それでも汝は私を知らないのか、ピリポ？私を見た者は、父を見たのだ。どうして汝は『私たちに父を示してください』というのか？
10. 汝は私が父にいること、そして、父が私におられることを信じていないのか？私が汝らに語っている言葉は、私自身の権威によって語っているのではない。私のうちにおられる、父の働きなのだ。
11. 私が父のうちにいることを信じ、父が私のうちにおられることを信じなさい。そうでなければ、この業そのものによって信じていなさい。
12. アーメン、アーメン、私は汝らに言う。私を信じている人は、私がしているこのわざを、その人もするようになる。また、彼はもっと大いなるわざをするようになる。なぜなら、私が私の父のもとに行くからだ。
13. そして、汝らが何でも私の名によって求めるなら、私はそれをしよう。それは、父がこの息子にあって、栄光をお受けになるためである。
14. もし汝らが私の名によって、何かを求めるなら私はそれをしよう。
15. もし、汝らが私を愛しているなら、私の掟を守りなさい。
16. そして、私は父に祈ろう。汝らにもう一人の慰め主を送ってくださる。そして、彼は汝らには永遠に留まってくださる。
17. まさに真理の霊のことだ。その方を、この世界は受ける事ができない。なぜなら、それは彼を見ていないし、また知ってもいない。しかし、汝らは彼を知っている。なぜなら、彼は汝らと一緒におられるし、また、汝らと一緒にいてくださるからである。
18. 私は汝らを孤児のままにはしない。私は汝らのところに帰ってくる。
19. もうしばらくしたら、この世界は、もはや私を見なくなる。しかし、汝らは私を見る。私は生きているから汝らもまた生きるのだ。
20. その日には、汝らが私の父のうちに私がいる事、また、汝らが私のうちにおり、また私が汝らのうちにいることを知るようになるであろう。
21. 私の掟を持ってそれを守っているなら、その人は、私を愛している。そして、私を愛している人は私の父に愛される。また、私は彼を愛し、そして私自身を彼に明らかにしよう。」
22. イスカリオテではない方のユダが彼に言った。「主よ、あなたが私たちにご自身を明らかにして下さって、この世界にはそうなさらないのはどうしてですか？」
23. イエスは答えて彼に仰せになった。「もし、誰かが私を愛しているなら、彼は私の言葉を守る。そして、私の父は彼を愛してくださる。また、私たちは彼の所に来て、彼と一緒に住もう。
24. 私を愛していない人は、私の言葉を守っていない。そして、汝らが聞いている言葉は、私のものではなく、私を遣わされた父のものである。
25. 私はこれらのことを、汝らと一緒にいる間に語っておいた。
26. しかし、父が私の名によって送られる慰め主、ご聖霊は、汝らにすべての事をお教えになる。そして、私が汝らに話しておいたことを全部思いださせるであろう。
27. 私は、平安を汝らに残している。私の平安を与える。それは、この世界が与えているのとは違うものだ。汝らは心を悩れたり、恐れるたりするな。
28. 汝らは私が汝らに『私は去って行く。そして汝らのところに帰ってくる。』と言うことを聞いたのだ。もし汝らが私を愛しているなら、汝らは私が『私は父のもとに行く』と言った言葉で喜ぶだろう。なぜなら、私の父は私よりも大いなる方だからだ。
29. そして、いまや私はそれが来る前に、汝らに語っておいた。それは、それが起きる時に汝らが信じるためだ。
30. 私はもはや汝らに多くを語るまい。なぜなら、この世界の支配者が来ているからだ。そして、彼は私に何もする事ができない。
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled. You believe
in God, believe also in Me.

14:2 In My Father's house are many
mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you.
Joh
14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that where I am, you may
be also.
Joh
14:4 And where I go you know, and the
way you know.
Joh
14:5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not
know where You go, and how can we know the way?
Joh
14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way,
the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.
Joh
14:7 If you had known Me, you would have
known My Father also. And from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
Joh
14:8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us
the Father, and it is enough for us.
Joh
14:9 Jesus said to him, Have I been with
you such a long time and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me
has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father?
Joh
14:10 Do you not believe that I am
in the Father and the Father in Me? The Words that I speak to you I do not
speak of Myself, but the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works.
Joh
14:11 Believe Me that I am in the
Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the very works themselves.
Joh
14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who
believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works
than these he shall do, because I go to My Father.
Joh
14:13 And whatever you may ask in My
name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh
14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I
will do it.
Joh
14:15 If you love Me, keep My
commandments.
Joh
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He
shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,
Joh
14:17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the
world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know
Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.
Joh
14:18 I will not leave you orphans. I
will come to you.
Joh
14:19 Yet a little while and the
world does not see Me any more. But you see Me. Because I live, you shall live
also.
Joh
14:20 At that day you shall know that I am
in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Joh
14:21 He who has My commandments and
keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My
Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.
Joh
14:22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him,
Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?
Joh
14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, If
a man loves Me, he will keep My Word. And My Father will love him, and We will
come to him and make Our abode with him.
Joh
14:24 He who does not love Me does not
keep My Words, and the Word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who
sent Me.
Joh
14:25 I have spoken these things to you,
being present with you.
Joh
14:26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
Joh
14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I
give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Joh
14:28 You have heard how I said to you,
I go away and I am coming to you again. If you loved Me, you would
rejoice because I said, I go to the Father, for My Father is greater than I.
Joh
14:29 And now I have told you before it
happens, so that when it happens you might believe.
Joh
14:30 I shall no longer speak many
things with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me.
Joh
14:31 But that the world may know that I
love the Father, and as the Father has given Me commandment, even so I do.
Arise, let us go away from here.
