ヨハネによる福音書第1章（欽定訳）

１章　済

1.　始めに言葉があった。そしてその言葉は天の神と共にあったその言葉は天の神であった。
2.　彼は初めに天の神と共におられた。
3.　全てのものは、彼を通して存在するようになった。そして存在するもののうち、彼によらないものは何ひとつなかった。
4.　彼のうちに命があった。そしてその命は人々の光であった。
5.　そして光は闇の中に現れたが[1]闇はそれを覆わなかった。
6.　天の神から遣わされていた一人の人がいた。その名はヨハネといった。
7.　彼は全ての人が信じるための証人である。
8.　彼は光ではなかったが、光についての証しをするためにいた（遣わされていた）。
9.　全ての人を照らす真理の光があって、この世界[2]に来ようとしていた。
10.　彼はこの世界におられた。この世界は彼によってできたのにこの世界は彼を知らなかった。
11.　また、彼はご自分の者たちのところにお出でになったのに、ご自分の者たちは彼を受け入れなかった。
12.　しかし、彼を受け入れた全ての人、すなわち、彼の名を信じる人々には、彼は天の神の子となる権利をお授けになったのである。
13.　その人々は血統によらず、また肉の意思にもよらず、また人の意思によらないで、ただ天の神によって生まれたのである。
14.　そして、言葉は肉体となって私たちの間に住まわれた[3]。そして私たちは彼の栄光を見た。それは父のただお一人の御子としての栄光であって、恵みと真理とで満ちていた。
15.　ヨハネは彼の証をし、大声で叫んで言った。「この方こそ、私が『私の後からお出でになる方で、私よりも優れた方です。なぜなら彼は私よりも先におられたからです』と言っていたお方です。」
16.　そして、彼に満ちているものから私たち皆は受け、そのうえ恵みの上に恵みを与えられた。
17.　法はモーセを通して与えられたが、恵みと真理とはイエス・キリストを通して来たのある。
18.　いまだかつて、誰も天の神を見た者はいない。彼のふところにおられるひとり子だけが、天の神（彼）を明らかにされたのである。
19.　ところで、これが、ユダヤ人たちがエルサレムから送ってきた祭司たちやレビ人たちの、「あなたは誰ですか」という問いに対するヨハネの証しである。
20 彼は、しかし告白して否定せず、「私はキリストではありません。」と言った。
21.　すると彼らは彼に問うた。「それならだれなのですか？あなたはエリヤですか？」彼は言った。「いいえ。私はそうではありません。」「あなたはあの預言者ですか？」すると彼は答えた。「いいえ。」
22.　それで彼らは彼に言った。「あなたは誰なのですか。私たちを遣わした人たちに答えられるようにして下さい。あなた自身をどう考えていますか？」
23.　彼は言った。「私は預言者イザヤが言っていた、『荒野で「主の道をまっすぐにせよ」と叫んでいる、声』です。」
24.　ところで、遣わされていた人々はファリサイ派の人々であった。
25.　そこで彼らは彼に尋ねて言った。「もしあなたがあのキリストでも、エリヤでも、預言者でもないのなら、どうしてあなたはバプテスマをしているのですか？」
26.　ヨハネは彼らに答えて言った。「私は水でバプテスマをしています。しかし、あなたがたの中に、あなたがたの知らない人が立っておられます。
27.　私の後からお出でになる方というのはその方のことであって、私よりも優れた方で、私はその方のサンダルのひもを解いてさし上げる価値もありません。」
28.　これらの事は、ヨルダンの向こう側のベサバラでヨハネがバプテスマをしている場所で起こった。
29.　次の日、ヨハネはイエスが彼のほうに来るのを見たので言った。「見よ、この世界の罪を取り除く、天の神の子羊。
30.　この方こそ、私が『私の後から一人の人がお出でになる。その方は私よりも優れた方です。私よりも先におられたからです。』と言っていたお方です。
31.　私は彼を知りませんでした。しかし、彼はイスラエルに現われるので、私は来て水でバプテスマをしているのです。」
32.　そして、ヨハネは証ししてこう言った。「私は聖霊が[4]天から鳩のように下って来られるのを見ました。そしてその方は彼の上に留まっておられました。
33.　私は彼を知りませんでした。しかし、私に水でバプテスマをするために遣わされた方が、私に仰せになりました。『聖霊[5]が下ってきて彼の上に留まるのをあなたが見たら、その人こそ聖霊によってバプテスマをなさるお方である。』と。
34.　そして、私は〔それを〕見たので、この方こそが、天の神の御子である、と証しをしたのです。」
35.　次の日、またヨハネは彼の二人の弟子と一緒に立っていた。
36.　そして、歩いておられるイエスを見て彼は言った。「見よ、天の神の子羊！」
37.　その二人の弟子は、彼がそう言うのを聞いて、イエスについて行った。
38.　その時イエスは振りかえって彼らがついてくるのを見て、彼らに仰せになった。
39.　「汝らは誰を捜しているのか？」彼らは彼に言った。「ラビ（それは、訳するならば、先生という）あなたはどこにお泊りになるのですか？」
40.　彼は彼らに仰せになった。「来なさい。そして見てごらん。」彼らは行って、彼がお泊りになっている所を見た。そして、その日は彼と一緒に泊まった。（さて、そのときは凡そ第十の時であった）
41.　彼から聞いて彼について行った、二人の弟子の一人はアンドレで、シモンの兄弟であった。
42.　彼はまず、自分の兄弟シモンを見つけた。そして彼に言った。「私たちはメシア（訳すとキリスト）にお会いした。」
43.　そして、彼をイエスの所に連れて行った。ところでイエスは彼を見て仰せになった。「汝はヨナの息子シモンだ。汝をケファスと呼ぼう。（訳すとペテロ）」
44.　次の日、イエスはガリラヤに行こうとされた。さて、彼はフィリッポスを見つけ、彼に仰せになった。「私について来なさい。」

51.　イエスは答えて彼に仰せになった。「私が汝に『私は汝がいちぢくの木の下にいたのを見た』と言ったので信じたのか？汝はこれよりももっと大いなる事を見るであろう。」
52.　それから、彼は彼に仰せになった。「アーメン、アーメン、汝らに言う。これから汝らは天が開いて天の神の使いたちが人の子の上を上ったり下ったりするのを見るであろう。」

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2  He was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3  All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
Joh 1:4  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it.
Joh 1:6  There was a man sent from God; his name was John.
Joh 1:7  This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him.
Joh 1:8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9  He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.
Joh 1:10  He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him.
Joh 1:11  He came to His own, and His own received Him not.
Joh 1:12  But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,
Joh 1:13  who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.
Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.
Joh 1:15  John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, This was He of whom I spoke: He who comes after me has been before me, for He was preceding me.
Joh 1:16  And out of His fullness we all have received, and grace for grace.
Joh 1:17  For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Joh 1:18  No one has seen God at any time; the Only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
Joh 1:19  And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you?
Joh 1:20  And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, I am not the Christ.
Joh 1:21  And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No.
Joh 1:22  Then they said to him, Who are you so that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say of yourself?
Joh 1:23  He said, I am "the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord," as the prophet Isaiah said.
Joh 1:24  And they who were sent were from the Pharisees.
Joh 1:25  And they asked him and said, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor that Prophet?
Joh 1:26  John answered them, saying, I baptize with water, but One stands among you whom you do not know.
Joh 1:27  He it is who, coming after me, who has been before me; of whom I am not worthy to loosen the thong of His sandal.
Joh 1:28  These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Joh 1:29  The next day John sees Jesus coming to him and says, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Joh 1:30  This is He of whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He preceded me.
Joh 1:31  And I did not know Him, but that He be revealed to Israel, therefore I have come baptizing with water.
Joh 1:32  And John bore record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from Heaven like a dove, and He abode on Him.
Joh 1:33  And I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water, that One said to me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon Him, He is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
Joh 1:34  And I saw and bore record that this is the Son of God.
Joh 1:35  Again, the next day afterward, John stood with two of his disciples.
Joh 1:36  And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God!
Joh 1:37  And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Joh 1:38  Then Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, What do you seek? They said to Him, Rabbi (which is called, being translated, Teacher), where do you live?
Joh 1:39  He says to them, Come and see. They came and saw where He lived, and stayed with Him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.
Joh 1:40  One of the two who heard John and followed Him was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
Joh 1:41  He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, We have found the Messiah (which is, being translated, the Christ).
Joh 1:42  And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus saw him, He said, You are Simon the son of Jonah; you shall be called Cephas (which translated is, A stone).
Joh 1:43  The day after, Jesus desired to go forth into Galilee. And He found Philip and said to him, Follow Me.
Joh 1:44  Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
Joh 1:45  Philip found Nathanael and said to him, We have found Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law and the Prophets, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
Joh 1:46  And Nathanael said to him, Can there be any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.
Joh 1:47  Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him and said of him, Behold an Israelite indeed in whom is no guile!
Joh 1:48  Nathanael said to Him, From where do You know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.
Joh 1:49  Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God. You are the King of Israel!
Joh 1:50  Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You shall see greater things than these.
Joh 1:51  And He said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Hereafter you shall see Heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.

４章

1.　主は、ファリサイ派の人々がイエスがヨハネよりも多くの人々にバプテスマをしているのを聞いたと知られたので、
2.　（しかし、イエスご自身がバプテスマをなさっていたのではなく、彼の弟子たちであった。）
3．　彼はユダヤを離れて再びガリラヤへと発たれた。
4.　しかし、彼はサマリヤを通っていく[1]必要があった。
5.　そして、彼はサマリヤの町の一つにお出でになった。それはスカルと呼ばれ、ヤコブが彼の息子ヨセフに与えた土地の近くにあった。

9.　その時サマリヤの女性は彼に言った。「ユダヤ人のあなたが、どうして私から水を飲ませてほしいと言うのですか。私はサマリヤの女ですよ？」ユダヤ人たちはサマリヤ人とは何の付き合いもしなかったからである。
10.　イエスは答えて彼女に仰せになった。「もしあなたが天の神の賜物を知っていたなら、また、汝に『私に水を飲ませてください』と言っている者が誰かを知っていたなら、汝が彼に生ける水を求め、彼はそれを汝に与えるであろう。」
11.　その女性は彼に言った。「ご主人、あなたは汲むためのものを何も持っていません。そしてこの井戸は深いのです。それなら、どこからその生きた水を手に入れるのですか？
12.　あなたは、私たちの父ヤコブよりも偉いのですか。彼は私たちに井戸を下さったのです。また、彼自身もそれから飲みました。彼の息子たちも、家畜たちも同じようにしたのですが？」
13.　イエスは彼女に答えて仰せになった。「誰でもこの水を飲んでいる人はまた渇く。
14.　しかし、誰でも私が与える水を飲んでいる人は、決して渇く事がない。私がその人に与える水は、その人（彼）のなかで泉となって永遠の命に至る水が湧き上がるであろう。」
15.　その女性は彼に言った。「ご主人、私が乾かないで、ここに汲みに来なくてもよいように、私に水を下さい。」
16.　イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「行って、あなたの夫をここに呼んで来なさい。」
17.　その女性は答えて彼にに言った。「私には夫はございません。」イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「あなたは良くぞ言ったものだ。『私には夫がない』と。
18.　実際、あなたには五人の夫がいたが、今の人はあなたの夫ではいない。あなたが言っている事は事実である。」
19.　その女性は彼に言った。「ご主人様、私はあなたが預言者ではないかと思います。
20.　私たちの祖先たちは、この山で礼拝をしていましたが、あなたがたユダヤ人たちはエルサレムこそが礼拝すべき場所だと言っています。」
21.　イエスは彼女に仰せになった。「女の人、私を信じていなさい。汝らが、この山でもエルサレムでもない場所で父を礼拝する時が来ようとしている。
22.　汝らは、汝らの知らない方を礼拝しているが、私たちは私たちが礼拝している方を知っている。救いはユダヤ人のものだからだ。
23.　しかし、真実の礼拝者たちが父を霊と真理とによって礼拝する時が来ている。そして、それは今である。父は、彼をそのように礼拝する人々を求めておられるからだ。
24.　天の神は霊だ。そして、彼を礼拝する人々は、霊と真実とによって礼拝しなければならない。」
25.　その女性は彼に言った。「私はメシヤ（その方はキリストと呼ばれる）が来て下さることを知っています。彼がお出でになったら、彼は私たちに全てを教えてくださるでしょう。」

31.　その間、彼の弟子たちは彼に勧めて言った。「ラビ、お食べ下さい。」
32.　しかし、彼は彼らに仰せになった。「私には汝らが知らない食べ物がある。」
33.　そこで弟子たちは互いに言い合った。「誰か彼に食べるものを何か持ってきて差し上げたのか？」
34.　イエスは彼らに仰せになった。「私の食べ物というのは、私を遣わされている方の御旨を行って彼の御業を成し終えることだ。
35.　汝らは、『あと４ヶ月したら収穫時期が来る』と言ってはいないか？見よ。私は言う。汝らの目を上げよ。また、諸々の畑を見よ。それらはすでに収穫の色[2]である。
36.　そして、刈る人々は報酬を受けている。また、永遠の命のための実を集めている。それは、蒔いている人と刈っている人が一緒に喜ぶためだ。
37.　だから、こう言われているのは真実である。『一人が蒔く。そして一人は刈る。』
38.　私は汝らを、汝ら自身は働かないで、他の人々が働いてきたものを刈り取らせるために送り出した。そして、汝らは彼らの労働に加わっている。」
39.　さて、サマリヤの町の多くの人々が「彼は私が今までしたことを言い当てた」と証し　した女性の言葉によって彼を信じた。
40.　そこで、そのサマリヤの人々は彼の所に来ると、彼に、彼らの所に滞在するように強いて願ったで彼はそこに二日間滞在された。
41.　そして、さらに多くの人々が彼御言葉を聞いて信じた。
42.　その時、彼らはあの女性に言った。「今や、私たちはあなたが言ったから信じているのではない。私たち自身が彼からお聞きし、この方こそ確かにキリスト、この世界の救い主であると信じているのだ。」
43.　さて、二日の後、彼はそこを出発してガリラヤに行かれた。
44.　イエスは、ご自身で預言者はご自分の町では尊敬されないと証しされていたからである。
45.　彼がガリラヤにお出でになると、ガリラヤの人々は彼が祭りの時にエルサレムでなさった事を全部見ていたので、彼を受け入れた。彼らもまたその祭りに行っていたからである。
46.　そこで、イエスは水をワインにされたガリラヤのカナに再び行かれた。すると、そこに息子がカペルナウムで病に伏している[3]有力者がいた。
47.　彼はイエスがユダからガリラヤにお出でになったことを聞きつけ、彼の所に来て、下ってきて彼が彼の息子を癒して下さるように嘆願した。彼は死にかかっていたからである。
48.　その時、イエスは彼に仰せになった。「汝らは徴と不思議とを見ない限り、決して信じない。」
49.　その有力者rは彼に言った。「主よ、私の子供が死ぬ前に下ってきて下さい！」
50.　イエスは彼に仰せになった。「帰りなさい。あなたの息子は生きている。」そこで、その男性はイエスが彼に仰せになった言葉を信じて帰って行った。
51.　そして、彼が下っていく途中に彼の僕たちが彼に会って言った。「あなたの息子様は生きております！」
52.　その時、彼は彼らに、何時に彼が良くなったのかと訪ねた。すると、彼らは彼に言った。「昨日の第七時頃、熱が引きました。」
53.　そこで、その父親はイエスが彼に「あなたの息子は生きている」と仰せになったのと同じ時間であったのを知った。そこで、彼自身が信じ、また彼の家の者たちも全員が信じた。
54.　これはイエスが、ユダヤから出てガリラヤにお入りになってからなさった二番目の徴である。

Joh 4:1  Therefore when the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John
Joh 4:2  (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples),
Joh 4:3  He left Judea and went away again into Galilee.
Joh 4:4  And it was necessary for Him to go through Samaria,
Joh 4:5  Then He came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Joh 4:6  And Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied with His journey, sat thus upon the well. It was about the sixth hour.
Joh 4:7  A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, Give me to drink.
Joh 4:8  (For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)
Joh 4:9  Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, How do you, being a Jew, ask a drink of me, who am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
Joh 4:10  Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked of Him, and He would have given you living water.
Joh 4:11  The woman said to Him, Sir, you have no vessel, and the well is deep. From where then do you have that living water?
Joh 4:12  Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his children and his cattle?
Joh 4:13  Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again,
Joh 4:14  but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Joh 4:15  The woman said to Him, Sir, give me this water, so that I may not thirst nor come here to draw.
Joh 4:16  Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband and come here.
Joh 4:17  The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I have no husband
Joh 4:18  for you have had five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband. In that you spoke truly.
Joh 4:19  The woman said to Him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.
Joh 4:20  Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Joh 4:21  Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you shall neither worship the Father in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem.
Joh 4:22  You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
Joh 4:23  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him.
Joh 4:24  God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.
Joh 4:25  The woman said to Him, I know that Messiah is coming, who is called Christ. When He has come, He will tell us all things.
Joh 4:26  Jesus said to her, I AM, the One speaking to you.
Joh 4:27  And upon this His disciples came and marveled that He talked with the woman. However, no one said, What do You seek, or why do You talk with her?
Joh 4:28  The woman then left her waterpot and went into the city and said to the men,
Joh 4:29  Come see a man who told me all things that I ever did. Is this One not the Christ?
Joh 4:30  And they went out of the city and came to Him.
Joh 4:31  In the meantime His disciples were asking Him, saying, Master, eat.
Joh 4:32  But He said to them, I have food to eat which you do not know.
Joh 4:33  Therefore the disciples said to one another, No one brought Him anything to eat?
Joh 4:34  Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.
Joh 4:35  Do you not say, It is yet four months, and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white to harvest already.
Joh 4:36  And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to life eternal, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
Joh 4:37  And in this is the saying true, One sows and another reaps.
Joh 4:38  I sent you to reap that on which you bestowed no labor. Other men labored, and you have entered into their labor.
Joh 4:39  And many of the Samaritans of that city believed upon Him because of the saying of the woman, who testified, He told me all that I ever did.
Joh 4:40  Then as the Samaritans had come to Him, they begged Him that He would stay with them. And He stayed there two days.
Joh 4:41  And many more believed because of His own word.
Joh 4:42  And they said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of your saying, for we have heard Him ourselves and know that this is truly the Christ, the Savior of the world.
Joh 4:43  And after two days He departed from there and went into Galilee.
Joh 4:44  For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own native-place.
Joh 4:45  Then when He had come into Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things that He did at Jerusalem at the feast; for they also went to the feast.
Joh 4:46  Then Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee, where He made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
Joh 4:47  When He heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and begged Him that He would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
Joh 4:48  Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.
Joh 4:49  The nobleman said to Him, Sir, come down before my child dies.
Joh 4:50  Jesus said to him, Go, your son lives. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken to him, and he went away.
Joh 4:51  And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, Your son lives.
Joh 4:52  Then he asked of them the hour when he began to get better. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
Joh 4:53  So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives. And he himself believed, and his whole house.
Joh 4:54  This is the second miracle Jesus did, when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

10.　その時イエスは仰せになった。「男たちを座らせなさい。」さて、その場所には多くの草があった。そこで、男性たちは座ったがおよそ五千人ほどであった。
11.　そして、イエスはそのパンをお取りになった。そして彼は感謝を捧げると、彼はそれらを彼の弟子たちに配られた。そして弟子たちは座っている人々に分配した。また、魚も同じように、彼らが欲しいだけ〔食べさせた〕。
12.　彼らが満ち足りると、彼は弟子たちに仰せになった。「一つもなくならないように、まだ残っているかけらを集めなさい。」

29.　イエスは答えて彼らに仰せになった。「天の神のわざとは、すなわち、あなたがたが彼がおつかわしになった者を信じていることだ。」
30.　そこで、彼らは彼に言った。「それなら、私たちがそれを見てあなたを信じられるように、あなたはどんな徴をみせてくれますか？あなたはどんなわざをしてくれますか？
31.　私たちの祖先たちは、荒野でマナを食べていました。『彼は彼らに天からのパンを与えて食べさせた』と書いてありますが。」
32.　そこでイエスは彼らに仰せになった。「アーメン、アーメン、私は汝らに言う。モーセが天からのパンを与えたのではなく、私の父が天から真のパンを与えたのだ。
33.　天の神のパンは天から下って来てこの世界に命を与えている者[2]であるからだ。」
34.　その時、彼らは彼に言った。「主よ、私たちにこのパンをいつも下さい。」
35.　するとイエスは彼らに仰せになった。「私が命のパンである。私に来ている者は決して飢えない。また、私を信じている者は決して渇かない。
36.　しかし、私は汝らに言う。汝らは私を見たが、それでも信じない。
37.　父が私に下さるものは全て私のところに来る。そして、私のところに来る人を私は決して見放さない。
38.　私が天から下って来たのは、私の思いを行うためではなく、私を遣わされた方の御心を行うためなのだから。
39.　私にお与えになった全ての者を、私が誰も失わないで最後の日によみがえらせる事こそが私を遣わされた父の御心なのだ。
40.　そして、私を遣わされた方の御心は、誰でも息子を見て彼を信じる人が永遠の命を持つことなのだ。そして、私は彼を最後の日[3]によみがえらせる。」
41.　その時、ユダヤ人たちは彼に不満を持った。彼が「私は天から下ってきたパンだ。」と仰せになったからである。
42.　そして彼らは言った。「このイエスは、あのヨセフの息子で、彼の父親と母親とは我々が知っているではないか？それならどうして彼は言うのか？『私は天から下ってきた』などと？」
43.　そこでイエスは答えて彼らに仰せになった。「汝らは不平を言っていてはいけない。
44.　誰も、私を遣わされた父が引き寄せなければ、私のところに来る事はできない。そして、私はその人を最後の日によみがえらせる。
45.　それは、預言者たちが『そして、彼らは皆天の神によって教えられた。』と書いているとおりだ。だから、父から聞き、そして学んでいた人は皆私の所に来ている。

56.　私の肉を食べており、また私の血を飲んでいる人ならば私に留まっており、また私もその人（彼）の内にいる。
57.　生ける父が私をお遣わしになり、そして私が父によって生きているように、私を食べている人は私によって生きている。
58.　これは天から下ってきたパンであって、あなたがたの祖先たちが食べ、そして死んだマナのようなものではない。このパンを食べている人（彼）は永遠に生きる。」
59.　これらのことを、彼はカペルナウムでお教えになったように、シナゴーグで仰せになった。
60.　そのようなわけで、彼の弟子たちの多くの人々は、この事を聞いて言った。「これはまた難しい事を。誰がそれを理解できるだろうか？」

65.　そして彼は仰せになった。「それだから、私はあなたがたに私の父がその人にお許しにならなかったならば、誰も私のところに来る事はできないといっておいたのだ。」
66.　その時から、彼の弟子たちのうちの多くの人々は、帰って行ってしまい、もはや彼と共に歩まなかった。
67.　その時、イエスは十二人に仰せになった。「あなたたちもまた去って行きたいのか？」
68.　しかし、シモンペテロが彼に答えた。「主よ、私たちが誰の所に行くというのですか？あなたは永遠の命の言葉をお持ちです。
69.　私たちはまた、あなたこそがキリスト、生ける天の神の御子であられることを知り、また信じるようになりました。」
70.　イエスは彼らにお答えになった。「私が汝ら十二人を選んだのではなかったか。しかし、あなたたちのうちの一人は悪魔（ディアボロス）なのか？」
71.　彼はシモンの息子、イスカリオットのユダのことを仰せになっていた。彼を売り渡すのは十二人の一人の、彼だからである。

Joh 6:1  After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, the Sea of Tiberias.
Joh 6:2  And a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on the sick ones.
Joh 6:3  And Jesus went up into a mountain and sat there with His disciples.
Joh 6:4  And the Passover was near, a feast of the Jews.
Joh 6:5  Then Jesus lifted up His eyes and saw a great crowd come to Him. He said to Philip, Where shall we buy loaves so that these may eat?
Joh 6:6  And He said this to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
Joh 6:7  Philip answered Him, Loaves for two hundred denarii are not enough for them, that every one may take a little.
Joh 6:8  One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,
Joh 6:9  There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are these among so many?
Joh 6:10  And Jesus said, Make the men recline. And there was much grass in the place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number.
Joh 6:11  And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who had reclined; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.
Joh 6:12  And when they were filled, He said to His disciples, Gather up the fragments left over, so that nothing is lost.
Joh 6:13  Therefore they gathered and filled twelve handbaskets with fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over to those who had eaten.
Joh 6:14  Then seeing the miracle that Jesus did, those men said, This is truly the Prophet, the One coming into the world.
Joh 6:15  Therefore when Jesus perceived that they would come and take Him by force, that they might make Him a king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain alone by Himself.
Joh 6:16  And when evening had come, the disciples went down to the sea
Joh 6:17  and entered into a boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.
Joh 6:18  And the sea rose up because of a great wind that blew.
Joh 6:19  Then having rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the ship. And they were afraid.
Joh 6:20  But He said to them, I AM! Do not be afraid.
Joh 6:21  Then they willingly received Him into the boat. And immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
Joh 6:22  The following day, the crowd standing on the other side of the sea had seen that there was no other little boat there except that one into which His disciples had entered, and when they saw that Jesus did not go with His disciples into the little boat, but that His disciples had gone away alone,
Joh 6:23  (however, other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they ate the loaves, the Lord having given thanks),
Joh 6:24  therefore, when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves also entered into the boats and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus.
Joh 6:25  And when they had found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, Rabbi, when did you come here?
Joh 6:26  Jesus answered them and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, You seek Me not because you saw the miracles, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.
Joh 6:27  Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for that food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. For God the Father sealed Him.
Joh 6:28  Then they said to Him, What shall we do that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29  Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He has sent.
Joh 6:30  Therefore they said to Him, What sign do you show then, so that we may see and believe you? What do you work?
Joh 6:31  Our fathers ate the manna in the desert, as it is written, "He gave them bread from Heaven to eat."
Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you that bread from Heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from Heaven.
Joh 6:33  For the bread of God is He who comes down from Heaven and gives life to the world.
Joh 6:34  Then they said to him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Joh 6:35  And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst.
Joh 6:36  But I said to you that you also have seen Me and do not believe.
Joh 6:37  All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will in no way cast out.
Joh 6:38  For I came down from Heaven, not to do My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.
Joh 6:39  And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all which He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day.
Joh 6:40  And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes on Him should have everlasting life. And I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:41  Then the Jews murmured about Him, because He said, I am the bread which came down from Heaven.
Joh 6:42  And they said, Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How now does this One say, I have come down from Heaven?
Joh 6:43  Jesus therefore answered and said to them, Do not murmur with one another.
Joh 6:44  No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draw him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:45  It is written in the Prophets, "And they shall all be taught of God." Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me.
Joh 6:46  Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God, He has seen the Father.
Joh 6:47  Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me has everlasting life.
Joh 6:48  I am the Bread of life.
Joh 6:49  Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died.
Joh 6:50  This is the Bread which comes down from Heaven, so that a man may eat of it and not die.
Joh 6:51  I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he shall live forever. And truly the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Joh 6:52  Then the Jews argued with one another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
Joh 6:53  Then Jesus says to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves.
Joh 6:54  Whoever partakes of My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:55  For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
Joh 6:56  He who partakes of My flesh and drinks My blood dwells in Me, and I in him.
Joh 6:57  As the living Father has sent Me, and I live through the Father, so he who partakes of Me, even he shall live by Me.
Joh 6:58  This is the Bread which came down from Heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he who partakes of this Bread shall live forever.
Joh 6:59  He said these things in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
Joh 6:60  Then when they had heard, many of His disciples said, This is a hard saying, who can hear it?
Joh 6:61  But knowing in Himself that His disciples murmured about it, Jesus said to them, Does this offend you?
Joh 6:62  Then what if you should see the Son of Man going up where He was before?
Joh 6:63  It is the Spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.
Joh 6:64  But there are some of you who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who is the one betraying Him.
Joh 6:65  And He said, Because of this I said to you that no one can come to Me unless it was given to him from My Father.
Joh 6:66  From this time many of His disciples went back into the things behind, and walked no more with Him.
Joh 6:67  Then Jesus said to the Twelve, Do you also wish to go away?
Joh 6:68  Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the Words of eternal life.
Joh 6:69  And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Joh 6:70  Jesus answered them, Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? And one of you is a devil?
Joh 6:71  But he spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for it was he who was about to betray Him, being one of the Twelve.

2.　ところで、ユダヤ人たちの幕屋の祭りが間近になっていた。
3.　彼の兄弟たちは、それで彼に言った。「あなたの弟子たちもあなたがしていることを見れるように、ここを発ってユダヤに行ったらどうですか。
4.　自分を公に知られるように願っている人は、何もひそかにすることはしませんよ。もし、あなたがこれらの事をするなら、あなた自身をこの世界に明らかにすれば良いではありませんか。」
5.　それは、彼の兄弟たちでさえ彼を信じていなかったからである。

18.　自分のことを語っている者は、自分の栄光を求めている。しかし、彼を遣わした方の栄光を求めている人は真実な人である。。
19.　モーセは汝らに法を授けなかったか？それなのに、汝らは誰もその法を守っていない。どうして汝らは私を殺そうとしているのか？」

28.　その時、イエスは大声で叫んで、彼が神殿でお教えになっていたように仰せになった。「汝らは私を知っており、また、汝らは私がどこの出身なのかも知っている。しかし、私は自分自身で来たのではない。しかし、私を遣わされたお方は真実であって、汝らが知らない方である。
29.　しかし私はその方を知っている。なぜなら、私はその方のところから来たのだ。そして、その方が私を遣わされたのだ。」
30.　それゆえ、彼らはイエスを捕らえようと願ったが誰も彼に手をかける者はいなかった。なぜなら、彼の時がまだ来ていなかったからである。
31.　そして多くの人々が彼を信じて言った。「キリスト様がお出でになったら、彼はこの人がなさったこれらのことよりも多くの徴をできるだろうか」

36.　彼が言っている、『汝らは私を捜す。そして（私を）見つけることはない。そして、私がいる所に来る事はできない』といっているのは何の事なのだろうか？」
37.　祭りの大いなる日の最後の日に、イエスは立って大声で叫んで、こう仰せになった。「誰でも乾いているなら、その人は私の所に来て飲みなさい。
38.　私を信じる人は、聖書が言っていたように、その心から生ける水の川が溢れ出すようになる。」
39.　しかし、このことを彼は、彼を信じる人々が受けるべき霊について仰せになったのである。なぜなら、聖霊はまだ与えられていなかっので、イエスはまだ栄光をお受けになっていなかったからである。
40.　それゆえ、彼らがこれらの仰せを事を聞いた時、多くの人々が言った。「この方は真実の預言者だ。」
41.　他の人々は言った。「この人がキリストだ。」しかし、他の人は言った。「キリストはガリラヤ出身なのか？
42.　聖書によれは、キリストはあのダビデの子孫として現れ、ダビデがいたあのベスレヘムの町からお出でになるのではないのか？」
43.　そこで、彼についてその人々の間に分裂が起こった。
44.　ところで、彼らの中の何人かは彼を捕らえようとしたが、誰も彼に手をかけなかった。
45.　その時、役人達が、祭司の長たちやファリサイ派の人々の所に来た。その人たちは彼らに言った。「どうしておまえたちは彼を連行してこなかったのか？」
46.　役人達は答えた。「この人のように語った人は、だれも今までいませんでした。」
47.　すると、そのファリサイ派の人々は彼らに答えた。「お前たちまでも騙されたのか？
48.　ファリサイ派の指導者たちの、何人が彼を信じたと言うのか？
49.　しかし、法を知らないこの群衆は呪われるべきだ。」
50.　ニコデムス（彼らの一人で、（彼は）夜、イエスの所に来た人である。）は彼らに言った。
51.　「私たちの法では、その人が何をしたのかを彼から聞いて知った上でその人を裁くのではないか？」
52.　彼らは答えて彼に言った。「君までガリラヤ出身なのか？調べて見よ。ガリラヤからは預言者は誰も起されていないから。」

53.　そして、皆は自分の家に帰って行った。


Joh 7:1  After these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for He did not desire to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.
Joh 7:2  And the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near.
Joh 7:3  Therefore His brothers said to Him, Move away from here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see the works that You do.
Joh 7:4  For no one does anything in secret, while he himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.
Joh 7:5  For His brothers did not believe in Him.
Joh 7:6  Then Jesus said to them, My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
Joh 7:7  The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
Joh 7:8  You go up to this feast; I am not yet going up to this feast; for My time is not yet fulfilled.
Joh 7:9  And having said these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
Joh 7:10  But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.
Joh 7:11  Then the Jews sought Him at the feast and said, Where is He?
Joh 7:12  And there was much murmuring among the crowd concerning Him, for some said, He is a good man; others said, No, but he deceives the crowd.
Joh 7:13  However, no one spoke openly of Him, because of the fear of the Jews.
Joh 7:14  Now about the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
Joh 7:15  And the Jews marveled, saying, How does this man know letters, not being taught?
Joh 7:16  Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
Joh 7:17  If anyone desires to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God, or I speak from Myself.
Joh 7:18  He who speaks of himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
Joh 7:19  Did not Moses give you the Law? And yet not one of you keeps the Law! Why do you seek to kill Me?
Joh 7:20  The crowd answered and said, You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?
Joh 7:21  Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and you all marvel.
Joh 7:22  Because of this Moses gave you circumcision (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers,) and you circumcise a man on the sabbath day.
Joh 7:23  If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath day so that the Law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry at Me because I have made a man entirely sound on the sabbath day?
Joh 7:24  Do not judge according to sight, but judge righteous judgment.
Joh 7:25  Then some of those from Jerusalem said, Is this not the one they seek to kill?
Joh 7:26  But lo, he speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly know that this is the Christ indeed?
Joh 7:27  However, we know this one, from where he is; but when Christ comes, no one knows from where He is.
Joh 7:28  Then Jesus cried in the temple as He taught, saying, You both know Me, and you know from where I come. And I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.
Joh 7:29  But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He has sent Me.
Joh 7:30  Then they sought to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
Joh 7:31  And many of the crowd believed on Him, and said, When the Christ comes, will He do more miracles than these which this One has done?
Joh 7:32  The Pharisees heard that the crowd murmured such things concerning Him. And the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to seize Him.
Joh 7:33  Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.
Joh 7:34  You shall seek Me and shall not find Me. And where I am, you cannot come.
Joh 7:35  Then the Jews said among themselves, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
Joh 7:36  What saying is this that He said, You shall seek Me and shall not find Me, and where I am, you cannot come?
Joh 7:37  And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
Joh 7:38  He who believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
Joh 7:39  (But He spoke this about the Spirit, which they who believed on Him should receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Joh 7:40  Then when they heard the Word, many of the people said, Truly this is the Prophet.
Joh 7:41  Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, Does the Christ come out of Galilee?
Joh 7:42  Has the Scripture not said that Christ comes from the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
Joh 7:43  So a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.
Joh 7:44  And some of them desired to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
Joh 7:45  Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees. And they said to them, Why have you not brought him?
Joh 7:46  The officers answered, Never did any man speak as does this Man.
Joh 7:47  Then the Pharisees answered them, Also, have you not been deceived?
Joh 7:48  Is it not true that not any of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him?
Joh 7:49  But this crowd, not knowing the Law, is cursed.
Joh 7:50  Nicodemus said to them, (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them),
Joh 7:51  Does our law judge the Man before it hears Him and knows what He does?
Joh 7:52  They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search the scriptures and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.
Joh 7:53  And they each went to his own house.
